Our CanSat will be launched by a rocket and deployed at altitude of about 3250 meters. In order to maintain the statutory maximum descent rate of 10m/s the probe will be equipped with a hexagonal-shaped, 0.13 m2 polyester parachute.
The expected descent speed at the weight of 350 g will be about 9 m/s, giving the estimated flight time of about 360 seconds.
To integrate the CanSat with the carrier rocket the parachute has to be folded. Here is how to do it in four steps:
